"Eden"

This was one of my dreams that I had reoccurring once every while. Thanks to the song "White Blue" from Dj Max Fever, I finally found out how to place this into words.

==================================================================

"Eden"

I held up the piece of glass towards the sky, watching the radiant sun shine through its golden color. I never thought it would look so beautiful, even after all this time. The world around me is swallowed and plagued by the darkness. Steadily, it engulfs the beautiful land around me that I once called heaven, getting closer and closer to where I lay, reminiscing what once was, what there is, and what will be. The gold-stained shard of glass becomes engulfed into the darkness. The radiant sun, no longer where it was, is replaced by the waning moon, glowing over the horizon as far as I can see. Everything is normal again, in this dark scenery under the glowing moon.

A slight breeze passes by. The plains dances to the wind, shuffling to the left and right wherever the wind coordinates them to do so. The water ripples along with the wind, not wanting to be left behind, and so do the trees, dancing with their branches swaying left and right. I can feel the liveliness of the atmosphere. It was similar to the festivals and ceremonies I went to every year with the loud laughter and the people enjoying themselves amongst their best friends and families.

I always wanted that kind of life, but now I no longer have anything left. Whatever I wanted to truly be, everything I placed my hopes and dreams into, is dying. This is after all, my heaven. Everything I couldn't do before, this world will do so until I am satisfied with my passing. I can feel the tears roll down my face, knowing that once I find what I truly want, I will no longer be. Having thought that, I continue to lie there, in the middle of the plains, staring at the changing world.

The moonlit clouds are moving faster and faster, making way for the rising sun. I shield my eyes to the golden path laid before me by the radiant sun, asking me that it is time to accept everything. I wipe away the last of my tears, smiling, satisfied with my answer: "I am ready."

I'm still seeing a little hoppy choppy, though I'm not sure if it's my opinion.

Sounds like a good intro though, showing how things were good, turned back, and the protagonist will likely fight back.

This is supposed to be a short story that should be read with the song "White Blue" in mind.

I had a dream about a "heaven" that I would go to when I die, and with that I thought it would be a world that will show you everything you wanted, just not directly. Once you understand that you are dead and have accepted, you will leave the place and go to whatever the road leads to afterwards.

I DO have strange dreams, and I have some that are very brutal (my head being smashed in by sledgehammer, etc.), all results when portraying myself as the character I create in a story.
