This scene reoccurs in my head everytime, the moment when "Kaberial Leingod" enters a battle in the "Crescent War" novel for my Lendgard series. I liked it a lot.
==============================
Title: The Angel of Death
He trespasses through the skirmishes, a blind eye to all around him. His golden helm shines in the middle of this bloody mist. People watching him as he passes by, were amazed, as if seeing God right before their very eyes. His figure was ironic though, for such a God-like presense, his helm has large demonic horns reaching towards the sky. His emblem, located on both sides of his full-body cloak, was that of a broken cross. He didn't belong to anyone they knew, only that his strength was beyond all comprehension.
The ground rattled before his feet. Many believed he was inhuman carrying a large cross on his back, with edges sharper than any standard-issued steel blade. When soldiers appear to be blocking his path, they immediately shuffled away, afraid of being smashed into pieces by the weapon that was two times their size, but it was no larger than its wielder. "The Walking Giant", they called him.
And then he gets to an abrupt halt. Before him wasn't a normal soldier for the Liberators, or Rebels, but a knight in a full black scale armor. Every inch of his body was detailed with horns and spikes, a symbol of power and fear, pushing any weakling away. The giant throws off his cloak, revealing a more sinister, menacing piece. It was as though, he wasn't human. No ordinary human can reach that point of physique. It was as though, he was the very pinnacle of physique and raw strength with his proof being the very cross dangling on his back. The giant's armor had a tainted golden image, it never shown as bright as his helm. Maybe it was to show his experience in the art of war.
The black knight draws his blade and gets himself in a position to attack the giant. He points the tip directly at the giant's chest, where the heart would be. There was a faint muttering of some sort, coming from the giant from beneath the full-helm.
"... Traitor..."
The black knight strikes first, but was immediately stopped with the smack of the giant's backhand, knocking the knight into the ground, his blade flung into the air, landing several feet away from him.
"A final judgement... shouldn't be wasted on trash like you."
The giant grabs his cross-shaped weapon, almost immediately, already having placed the blade at his prey's throat.
"I guess that's why, he sent me... to do his dirty work."
He smashes the cross-shaped weapon into the knight's armor, crushing the left-arm plating and shattering the left side of his scale armor, incapacitating him. The nearby soldiers can do nothing but watch this fight, knowing it was futile to stop this monster.
With the wave of his hand, the nearby buildings fell apart, but strangely, they fell towards where the black knight lay. The ground under the knight slowly became a crater. His breathing became heavy, as though he couldn't gather enough air to fill his lungs.
"You can never defeat me, his strongest creation."
The knight looks up to see this giant, and to his horror, saw the face underneath it. His shocked expression as he saw his face, made the giant smile menacingly, as if enjoying the pleasure of torture.

Didn't see the "hoppy choppy" here. I like how you could picture the two rather well, but you didn't need to go into extreme detail (that armor actually has.)
I woulda liked the giant to win. :P Nothing better than humans overpowering gods. Oh well.
If you check the dates, my writing changes dramatically after each time.
The Giant DOES in fact, win and with the personality I plan on portraying him as, I don't think he will lose either.
This was inspired by a dream or a vision I had of him. He does NOT wear armor underneath the cloak, as it mentions only his physique. He only wears the Helmet, the Gauntlets, and shin guards and neglects the rest by hiding it away.
I like the character for his seeming "Insanity" problem, though everything he does is justified and only cares about the end result.
